Whitefish Point Lighthouse, toward the eastern side of Lake Superior, is north of Paradise in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The famous lighthouse has the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum on its grounds. The museum highlights the Edmund Fitzgerald, which sank 17 miles out on Lake Superior in 1975. The 200 lb. bell from the doomed ship has been recovered and is on display.
