Text Message Program — Opt-In & Disclosures

This page documents how My Secret Garden collects consent for text messages sent from (989) 264-0430. This is an operational and service messaging program for the business owner, employees, and individuals who have asked us about a specific request. It sends no marketing or promotional content. (Our separate marketing Text Club has its own sign-up and consent process and does not use this number.)

What this program sends

Automated internal alerts (inventory and catalogue reports, order notifications) to the owner and staff, and service replies to individuals who contacted the store first about a hold, special order, or pickup. Expected volume is fewer than 50 messages per day. Message frequency varies by the nature of your request and your order activity.

How opt-in happens

1. Owner and employees (internal alerts). Employees and the business owner provide their mobile numbers directly to ownership and consent verbally to receive operational alerts. At the time consent is given, the disclosures below are provided.

2. In person at 600 Saginaw Street, Bay City, Michigan. When a customer arranges a hold, special order, or pickup and would like a text about it, staff use the following script before recording the number:

“Would you like a text when this is ready? We will only text you about this request. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. Getting texts is not required to make a purchase.”

3. By texting us first. Anyone who texts (989) 264-0430, or texts the keyword START to that number, opts in and immediately receives this confirmation message:

“My Secret Garden: you're subscribed to operational updates. Msg&data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to unsubscribe.”

Disclosures given at every opt-in

• Message frequency varies by the nature of your request and your order activity.
• Message and data rates may apply. My Secret Garden does not charge for text messages.
• Reply HELP to any message, call (989) 264-0430, or email customerservice@mysecretgarden.com for help.
• Reply STOP to any message at any time to opt out. You will receive a single confirmation — “You have successfully been unsubscribed. You will not receive any more messages from this number. Reply START to resubscribe.” — and no further messages.
• Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
• We do not sell your mobile number, and no mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
• Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
